Visit
- MIJAS Pueblo: Must have seen just 10 minutes (5 km) from the coast:
Very nice white village, very pleasant (for example, in the late afternoon) and very lively.
Beautiful views of the coast, churches, chapel, arenas, restaurants, shops, new museum of contemporary art with Picasso, the CAC (Center for Contemporary Art).
Try to climb up to the Ermita del Calvario chapel.

- Old town of MARBELLA: Must see
Excellent (many monuments from the 16th century, shops, restaurants, terraces, bougainvillea, alleys, etc.
Beautiful walking path, by the sea, surrounded by palm trees, between the city center and Puerto Banus (Via Verde, Milla de Oro) The newer city is not of much interest, except for shopping fans
- RONDA (35 minutes from the coast): Must see
according to Ernest Hemingway, the most romantic city in Spain
Orson Wells scattered his ashes there.
Many poets and writers stayed there for a long time.
The sunsets are fabulous.
It is said about Ronda that if you could not visit Seville, Ronda gives a taste of it.
In addition, there are many outdoor activities nearby (Via Ferrata, canyoning, hiking, climbing etc. ...) + the wine route + a bull farm (Reservatauro).
Free parking in the south of the city, near the Puerta de Almocabar, near the Ruedo Alameda Square.
Stop for a drink on the beautiful flower-filled terrace of the hotel Jardin de la Muralla (very nice view).
Do not miss the Duquesa de Parcent square before going to the Puente Nuevo and the arenas (the oldest and most beautiful in Spain).
Pretty villages nearby: to the south: Cartajima, Alpandeire or Juzcar, to the north: Setenil de las Bodegas, to the east Tolox and Yunquera
- Route of the white villages (about 40 km) + "Nature"-Walks for an afternoon or morning:

Then, in front of Ojen, turn onto the MA5300 road in the Sierra de Las Nieves to get to the Mirador de Juanar (leave the car in the parking lot and walk 1 km on foot).
The panorama is exceptional, unmissable, from Gibraltar to the Sierra Nevada.
